ID & Password Help (for alumni)
Is Your Account Still Active?
- If it has been less than one year since the end of your last semester, your account is still active. Use your SJSUOne account to sign in to MySJSU (as described below, under Current Students).
- If it has been more than one year since the end of your last semester, your account is no longer active. To request
an account, submit a MySJSU Alumni Account Help Form.
Note: Accounts will not be provided by phone. Once we receive your request, we will respond as soon as possible - usually within 2 business days.
Open University Students
On the first day of late registration, we post an Open University Quick Admit login button on the MySJSU homepage. Click this login button to register and get
a system generated ID and password.
Note: Activation of your SJSUOne account is optional.
Your SJSU ID
Use the 9-digit SJSU ID printed on your Tower Card.
For a list of what to include (and not include) in your password, view SJSUOne FAQ.
Lost & Forgotten Passwords
During your account activation we asked you to select and answer 5 Challenge Questions. Should you ever forget your password, you'll be able to reset your lost password if you are able to correctly answer 2 out of those 5 questions. To reset your password, view Password Reset.
Email messages are sent to notify you when your SJSUOne password is about to expire. The first notification is sent to you 30 days prior to expiration and the second is sent 7 days prior. The email will come from firstname.lastname@example.org. Please make sure to add this address to your contact list so the email doesn't get sent to your spam folder.
If you need technical assistance, please contact us. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible. To make sure we can verify your identity, please complete all requested information in our MySJSU Alumni Account Help Form.
Note: Passwords will not be re-set by phone. Once we receive your request, we will respond as soon as possible—usually within 2 business days.
