Agility Through Technology is one of the five important goals in the San José State Strategic Plan: Vision 2017. As part of the Next Gen Technology Project, IT Services is improving technology services and infrastructure. Baseline IT services have been established to service all campus departments, including state-support campus units, self-support campus units and auxiliaries. Baseline Services

Information Systems Support

Includes email, electronic calendar, CMS (PeopleSoft) database support, software distribution and computer training.

Application Programming

Includes application support, analysis, programming, department applications support and user consultation.

Cabling Services

Includes cabling services for phones, computers and computing equipment.

Document Imaging

Includes application workflow support and user consultation.

 

Email Support

Includes server, client configuration, interfaces and distribution list management.

Help Desk IT Support

Includes antivirus support, problem solving and user consultation.

Identity and Information Security

IT Training

Online & in-person classes, training and reference materials.

Media (Hard Drive) Destruction Service

Secure, free physical destruction services for hard drives, backup tapes, USB drives, SSD’s, mobile tablets and cell phones.

 

Network Services

Includes wired, wireless, firewall and VPN access.

Patch Management

 

Server Management

Includes physical, virtual, backup, patching and server monitoring. 

Video Conference & Collaboration Services

Voice Services

Includes alarms (panic and intrusion), emergency phones (Bluelight and elevators), handsets, telephone services and voicemail.
