Service Description

Information Technology (Information Technology) provides access to a secure centrally managed network.  All network components work together in a predictable and reliable manner, providing simplicity, consistency, transparency, and security for everyone, regardless of where you connect to the network.

Who can use the service?

Students, Faculty, Staff and Guests.

What is included?

Reliable, dedicated access to the University network and the Internet.

How do I get this service?

Plug your Ethernet cable into any active Ethernet wall jack and the corresponding port on your computer.  Not all Ethernet jacks are active, request a port activation via iSupport of the Information Technology Help Desk.

How long does it take to get the service?

Wiring and activation requests typically take less than 2 days for most campus locations.  If new cabling is needed, please visit the Cabling service page.

How do I get support?

Support for this service is provided Monday through Friday, during operating hours through the Information Technology Help Desk.


Campus Wired Network/Internet connection is an Information Technology Baseline service and is offered at no additional cost to the Campus Community. There are additional costs associated for cabling and additional ports for phone and computing equipment related to remodeling and new construction.
