San José State Information Technology (IT) provides Photographic Services that create originals and copies of photographs for use in classrooms, research and administrative functions.
Who can use the service?
Faculty and Staff.
What is included?
- Image Conversion (Scanning)
Conversion of Images 8x10 inches or smaller from an analog form such as slides, negatives, photographic prints, printed pages or images in books or other publications for faculty and staff to use in classroom and online lectures and learning management systems, brochures, publications and web pages.
- Large Format Photographic Quality Printing
Print that large format Research Poster Session you have been asked to present at your Professional Association Conference.
- Studio Portraits of Faculty and Staff
High quality professional Studio Portraits of faculty, staff and student employees as a service to the Campus Community by appointment. Using our professional studio equipment, we can accommodate one or more individuals.
- Studio Photography
Original, high resolution photography as a service to the Campus Community for academic, research, instructional, and web purposes. Some of our studio photography sessions may include Photography of Objects and Artifacts, Art Works such as sculptures, paintings, pottery, or glass pieces, and objects and artifacts that need to be documented for Research reports.
- Location Photography
Professional photography on location at various venues and events on and off campus. Some of these photographic services may include Environmental Portraits, photography in classes and labs for documentation of teaching and research, Conferences and other Campus Events. We offer photography for documenting educational events, faculty, staff and student accomplishments, and research.

Photographic Services is an Information Technology Division Baseline Service and is offered at no additional cost to the Campus Departments.
