Service Description

Information Technology (Information Technology) provides a brief online introduction to computer security issues.

Who can use the service?

Faculty and Staff.

What is included?

This tutorial take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete and provides some essential information about computer security and campus policy.

How do I get this service?

This service is available via the SJSU Skillport Portal for active faculty and staff. Per ICSUAM8035 “Data Security & Privacy” is a required course.

How long does it take to get the service?

This is a automated service that is will be available within 30 days of employment with the University and is required to be completed every two years.

How do I get support?

Support for this service is provided Monday through Friday, during operating hours through the Information Technology Help Desk.


Security Awareness Training is an Information Technology Baseline service and is offered at no additional cost to the Campus Community.
