How do I?


Check my voicemail?

  1. If your handset displays a steady red light, you have a voicemail
  2. Press the Messages button
  3. At the prompt, enter your PIN and press #
  4. Press 1 to listen to your messages
  5. While listening to a message, you may press:
    • 1 to repeat
    • 2 to save
    • 3 to delete
    • 4 for slow playback
    • 5 to skip directly to the message
    • 6 for fast playback
    • 7 to rewind
    • 8 to pause and resume
    • 9 to fast forward
  6. After listening to the message, you may press:
    • 1 to repeat
    • 2 to save
    • 3 to delete
    • 4 to reply
    • 42 to reply to all
    • 44 to return the call
    • 5 to forward to another number
    • 6 to mark new
    • 7 to skip back five seconds


Check my voicemail from off-campus?

  1. Dial 408-924-6800
  2. Press * when voicemail answers
  3. When prompted to enter your ID, enter your 5-digit phone extension, followed by #
  4. Then enter your PIN and press #
  5. Press 1 to listen to your messages


Change my voicemail greeting?

  1. Press the Messages button
  2. Press 4 for setup options and 1 for Greetings
  3. Press 1 to record your greeting


Turn on my alternate greeting?

  1. Press the Messages button
  2. Press 4 for setup options and 1 for Greetings
  3. Press 2 to turn on your alternate greeting
  4. If you want to leave your alternate greeting on indefinitely, press #
  5. To set an end date, press 1
    • Press 0 to end later today.
      • Enter the end time to the minute and press #
      • For am, press 1 and for pm, press 2
    • Press 1 to end tomorrow
      • Enter the end time to the minute and press #
      • For am, press 1 and for pm, press 2
    • Press 2-8 to end that many days later
      • Enter the end time to the minute and press #
      • For am, press 1 and for pm, press 2
    • Press 9 to end on a specific month and day
      • Enter the end month and press #
      • Enter the end day and press #
      • Enter the end time to the minute and press #
      • For am, press 1 and for pm, press 2


Set alternate voicemail greetings?

  1. Press the Messages button
  2. Press 4 for setup options and 1 for Greetings
  3. Press 3 to edit alternate greetings, and then press:
    • 2 for your closed greeting
    • 3 for your alternate greeting
    • 4 for your busy greeting
    • 5 for your internal greeting
      This greeting will play if someone calls from an SJSU prefix
    • 6 for your holiday greeting
  4. Press 1 to record your greeting and press # when finished
  5. To turn on the greeting, press 3 and follow instructions

View my missed calls?

  1. If you have missed calls, you will see an icon with the number of missed calls next to a Session button
  2. Press the Session button to view your missed calls
  3. You can clear the list by pressing the Clear List button on your screen


View my call history?

  1. Press the down arrow on the Navigation Pad
  2. You can now scroll through your complete call history
